Summary:Temperatures as of 1:00pm were already approaching the 80 degree mark in the warmest locations. Strong upper level high pressure has not budged from its position over the eastern Pacific with a big ridge up into the Gulf of Alaska. California isn’t the only region experiencing stagnant weather. In fact, there are air stagnation advisories out for many of the valleys of the Pacific Northwest and Idaho. The only other feature of note is a weak upper low which has now moved into northern Baja and will shoot towards the northeast into the Four Corners region Wednesday. the high shielding us from any Pacific storms will remain in place through the weekend and well into next week for clear skies with warm afternoons and cool nights. Dew points have now risen to the point where only the coldest locations will drop into the mid 30s with generally upper 30s to mid 40s over the remainder of the ag region. Locations near the lower foothills may actually remain in the 50s.
Forecast: Clear skies through Friday. Clear skies will continue Friday night through Tuesday.
