Summary: a trough of low pressure stretches from the Pacific Northwest southeastward into northern Arizona to another low over North Dakota. High pressure covers the eastern Pacific with California on the far eastern rim of this high, keeping us under a cool northwest flow aloft. Temperatures will bottom out today in the mid 60s then jump anywhere from 6 to 9 degrees Thursday with the warming trend continuing through the weekend. That high over the eastern Pacific will dominate our pattern for the remainder of the week. in fact, there’s a reasonably good chance we’ll move into the mid 80s over the weekend. A weak trough will ride over the top of the high then dive into the interior west about Monday or Tuesday of next week resulting in a modest cooing trend. Otherwise, beginning Friday an extended period of above average temperatures is expected with the storm track remaining well to our north and east.
Forecast: Mostly clear through Saturday. Mostly clear Saturday night through Wednesday.
