Summary: A moist, westerly flow continues to move across the Pacific and over California. Embedded within this flow are waves of low pressure, the latest of which will move in this morning with widespread shower activity, Rainfall amounts have ranged between .15 and .35 with the exception of Merced which has tallied up .71. The strongest of these Pacific storms will move through Monday through Monday evening. The next system upstream is much weaker and is taking more of a northerly course. It will move through Monday through Monday evening. We’ll keep a low chance of showers in the forecast for Wednesday and Wednesday evening. High pressure will begin to nose in from the west Thursday, finally shoving the storm track far enough to the north to keep the forecast dry through next weekend. Models continue to show a potent Pacific storm affecting most of the west on the first and second of February.

Forecast: Periods of rain through Monday evening. A chance of showers for a time Monday night. partly cloudy Tuesday and Tuesday night. a small chance of showers Wednesday and Wednesday night. partly cloudy Thursday through Sunday with areas of night and morning low clouds and fog.

Temperatures: highs today and Monday will warm into the low to mid 60s. Lows tonight will cool into the low to mid 50s
