Summary Upslope clouds have packed into the south valley. The surface observation at Porterville indicated a low overcast based at 2,800 feet while Bakersfield is reporting an overcast based at 3,800 feet. These clouds will slowly mix out this afternoon although some clouds may linger into Sunday morning. dry weather will last through next week as upper level high pressure moves in from the west, shoving the storm track into the Pacific Northwest. The high will drive temperatures into the low 80s by Tuesday with readings moving into the mid to upper 80s by Friday only to fall into the mid to upper 70s by next week as a trough of low pressure moves into the Pacific Northwest and northern California.
