Summary: Just a reflection of low pressure remains over Nevada and California of the system that resulted in scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly over the Sierra Nevada, this past weekend. This remnant low will slowly dissipate over the next 48 hours, allowing temperatures to finally move up to seasonal values. Average for this time of year is right around the 90 degree mark. By Friday, upper level high pressure will blanket the eastern Pacific and the western 1/3 of the US. By early next week, a trough of low pressure will be moving out of the Gulf of Alaska and into the Pacific Northwest. This will be the beginning of our next cooling trend.
Forecast: Mostly clear skies through Thursday. Mostly clear skies will continue Thursday night through Monday.

Two Week Outlook: June 19 through June 25 This model is showing a broad trough of low pressure over and along the west coast during this timeframe. This time of year, typically it doesn’t mean much so the chance of precipitation is slim to none. However, temperatures will be somewhat below seasonal average.
June: Of course, this time of year, 30 and 90 day outlooks are virtually useless as they’re essentially the same every year. Basically light all day and hot and light all night and warm. Essentially for June, near average temperatures and dry..
June, July, August: The 90 day summary outlook is the same this year as it is every year. Generally dry with somewhat above average temperatures. The monsoon season hasn’t begun yet, so we’ll start taking that more seriously down the road.
Wind Discussion: Winds during the late morning through the early evening hours will be mainly out of the northwest at 8 to 15 mph at times with locally stronger gusts through Thursday. Winds during the night and early morning hours will be generally at or below 8 mph with periods of near calm conditions.
Rain Discussion: Expect dry conditions for at least the next week.
