Summary High pressure aloft is located 500 miles off the northern California coast. Low pressure is centered over Wyoming and the Dakotas and covers much of the interior west. A dry northerly flow is sandwiched between these two features. The high off shore will build a ridge into the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia while a weak cut off low develops Friday over the Desert Southwest. This will generate a dry, northeasterly flow. Downslope compressional heating will result in a significant warming trend, especially for Friday and Saturday when warmest locations will reach the 90 degree mark. Low 90s look like a good bet Sunday through Tuesday of next week. somewhat cooler weather will occur after Tuesday as a fast moving low sets up shop over the Great Basin. Medium range models going through all of next week indicate we can expect a dry, warm pattern for all of next week.
Forecast Mostly clear skies all the way through Wednesday of next week.
