Even though skies have cleared, California remains on the far western side of low pressure which has now moved into the desert southwest. A sharp ridge of upper level high pressure remains just off shore and will result in a continuation of a north/northwest flow aloft over California. On Wednesday night and Thursday, a stretched out trough of low pressure will move through the interior west. Active weather from this system will remain well to our east. The off shore high will finally move inland Friday and Saturday, pushing temperatures above the 70 degree mark. A fast moving trough of low pressure will spread light precipitation over northern California Sunday with a series of storms moving into the Pacific Northwest, possibly occasionally affecting the northern ¼ of California. So far, however, it appears the active portion of these storms will remain to our north.
Forecast: Mostly clear skies through Thursday. Mostly clear skies will continue Thursday night through Sunday.
