Temperatures yesterday afternoon showed significant cooling as readings dropped into the lower 80s. If you recall, there was nearly a 15 millibar difference in pressure between San Francisco and Las Vegas. As of the time of this writing, the pressure difference has totally vanished with only a 1 millibar difference showing up. This is due to the fact that the low over southern Nevada has moved into Colorado while high pressure off shore is slowly building inland. This will start a new warming trend today with hotter locations moving into the lower 90s as early as Sunday afternoon. Models show the high will be almost right overhead this upcoming Wednesday and Thursday. High resolution blended model information indicates we will have a chance at some lower triple digits coming up Wednesday and even more so Thursday. The high will begin to flatten out Friday, eventually leading to the introduction of the next trough of low pressure next weekend for what promises to be yet another significant cooling trend. There is nothing on models suggesting any chance of precipitation for the foreseeable weather future.
Forecast: Mostly clear through Wednesday with a slow warming trend. Mostly clear Thursday through Saturday.

Two Week Outlook: May 28 through June 3: This model is now indicating a trough of low pressure dominating for much of this time period, resulting in near to possibly below temperatures. The chance of precipitation remains very low.
May: This model shows a dominant high stretching from Texas to southern California, resulting in somewhat above average temperatures for the month. It also gives an equal chance of above or below normal precipitation.
May, June, July: This model shows an early season high over the Four Corners region of the desert southwest, stretching westward to California, causing temperatures as we head into summer to be marginally above average. Since this is the dry season, the chances of precipitation will be very low
Wind Discussion: Winds afternoons and evenings through Tuesday will be mainly out of the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Winds during the night and morning hours will be generally at or less than 8 mph with periods of near calm conditions.
