Summary: A band of high clouds is currently moving through the south valley at midday. These clouds are associated with a fast moving system that moved through the Pacific Northwest this morning. This system’s impact will be negligible as temperatures are running a degree or two higher than 24 hours ago. Most locations will warm to near 80 this afternoon and again tomorrow afternoon. The next system to pound the Pacific Northwest will arrive late Sunday with the southern portion of the trough moving through central California Monday night and early Tuesday. Each model run shows an increasing chance of measurable rain as the dynamics look a bit stronger. Temperatures will fall back to seasonal averages Monday and remain there for the upcoming week. dry weather will prevail Tuesday afternoon into Friday as a weak ridge of upper level high pressure moves across our region. The next chance of precipitation will arrive late Friday and Saturday in the form of a trough of low pressure. This system is still expected to split with the southern portion forming a low center over southern California. Typically, this pattern does not produce significant precipitation so any amounts will be light.
