Rain: Periods of rain can be expected through at least Sunday morning then will taper off during the afternoon. Precipitation amounts will vary widely with this system due to the showery nature of the precipitation pattern. from now through Sunday morning a tenth to a third of an inch is possible. Locallh heavier amounts are possible in areas hit by a thunderstorm. Expect dry weather tonight through Wednesday. It’s appearing more and more likely the next system will spread precipitation over the region Wednesday. In fact a broad trough of low pressure will be over the western states and off shore over the weekend. A third system will begin to bear down on central California Friday night and Saturday.
